Golden Hour Maternity Session | Airdrie + Calgary Baby Photographer

Every once in a while, there’s that session that goes perfectly and reignites my love for photography — this was one of those magical evenings. ✨


The weather, the light, the location… everything aligned beautifully. The golden sun peeked through the trees, painting everything in that soft, buttery glow that photographers dream of. The gowns Kelsey chose were some of my absolute favorites — elegant, timeless, and so flattering. And the way she and her husband laughed and teased each other throughout the evening reminded me so much of my own relationship with Malik — full of love, humor, and genuine connection.


I’ve been wanting to do a maternity session with a mom in jeans and a cropped sweater for so long, so when Kelsey told me that was her first outfit, I wanted to jump for joy! It’s such a simple, real-life look that highlights the beauty of pregnancy without all the fuss — and paired with black converse shoes, it was absolute perfection.


When we ended the session with that stunning emerald green velvet gown, the whole vibe shifted into pure maternity goddess energy. Between the golden sunset light, the flowing fabric, and the way her husband looked at her — it was truly impossible to take a bad photo.


And if you had the same question I did during this session — how in the world are their Converse so clean?! — the answer made me laugh. They were brand new that day! They even bought a tiny matching pair for their baby. 🖤 How cute is that?


Fish Creek Park in South Calgary has become one of my favorite outdoor locations. The variety is unbeatable — from golden fields and winding paths to the tall trees that catch the light just right. Every direction offers something beautiful, and during fall especially, it’s a photographer’s dream.


This session had it all — warmth, laughter, stunning light, and two people completely in love, excited to meet their baby.
