This session was SO MUCH FUN!! We started the photo shoot by doing a gender reveal using an umbrella and some confetti. This gorgeous mom came to my studio before her session to try on some maternity gowns so she could pick which ones she wanted to use prior to her session, this is where she gave me the envelope that had the gender of her baby in it. I wanted to start the session by doing the gender reveal first to make sure that her older son was in the best mood for it. I was a little scared about his reaction because when we last talked she said he was really wanting a brother but in just a couple weeks he changed his mind and really wanted a little sister so it worked out perfectly. When we did the reveal, I think he was more shocked than anything and maybe a little confused why there was confetti falling on his head but once he found out he was going to have a little sister he already started talking baby names!!
After the gender reveal we proceeded by doing the rest of the maternity photos that this mom had requested, we did a couple of gown changes and then ended the session with the gorgeous fabric toss photos. I didn't want to spend an hour cleaning up the confetti so we just worked around it and then I had to photoshop it out when it come to editing the maternity photos since the ground of every shot was basically covered in it.
