A Full Circle Moment 🤍 | Calgary & Airdrie Newborn Photographer

There are some sessions that feel extra special… and this was one of them.

I’ve known Brooke my entire life. Our moms were best friends, so we quite literally grew up side by side. Even when I moved away to Las Vegas for 10 years while growing up, we always stayed in touch.

And now, here we are — 30 years later — both raising our own babies and navigating all the beautiful, messy, emotional parts of motherhood together 🤍

It’s such a full circle moment… and being the one to photograph this season for her is something I’ll never take for granted.

A Nursery That Made Me Laugh (and Immediately Made Sense)

When I asked Brooke what theme they had chosen for the nursery, she told me… pink dinosaurs.

And I’m not even kidding — I literally did a face palm 😂

Because of course it was dinosaur themed.

Brooke has always loved dinosaurs, so the fact that she created a soft, feminine, pink dinosaur nursery for her baby girl just makes so much sense 🥹

From that moment on, I knew we had to incorporate that into her session in a way that felt true to her style — while still keeping that soft, timeless look I’m known for.

A Custom Pink Dinosaur Setup 🦕💕

One of my favorite parts of what I do is designing setups that are completely customized to each family.

For this session, we created a soft pink dinosaur-inspired scene that felt dreamy, feminine, and perfectly aligned with her nursery.

Every little detail — from the tones to the textures — was chosen to keep everything cohesive while still making it feel playful and meaningful.

This is what I love most about newborn photography… it’s not just about taking photos, it’s about telling your story.

Incorporating Dad’s World 🤍

We also created a special image using her dad’s motorcycle helmet — something that was really important to him.

In reality, baby girl was not a fan of the helmet at all (which is very fair 😂), so instead of forcing the moment, I safely created the final image using a composite of multiple photos.

This allows me to bring meaningful ideas to life while always keeping baby comfortable and supported throughout the session 🤍

Because at the end of the day, your baby’s safety and experience will always come first.

Hi! I’m Meagan Paige, the photographer behind the camera—and also the one answering your emails, planning your sessions, posting on social media, and editing every image you receive. I’ve been a professional photographer for over 5 years, and I truly believe I was born in the wrong era. I’m obsessed with all things vintage (especially vintage cameras), and that love for timeless style carries into everything I create.

When I’m not photographing sessions, you’ll usually find me hunting for new props for future shoots or spending time with my amazing husband, our little guy, and our very energetic pups.
