Vaxildan's Puppy Cake Smash | Calgary and Airdrie Pet Photographer

Vax'ildan absolutely loved the cake and did really well for his whole session. Clearly, the trick to getting good photos of my dogs is to bribe them with cake. Even my other two dogs loved the cake and actually let me pose them to get one good group shot.


If you don't know this already, Vax'ildan got his name from a character from Critical Role. My husband and I are absolutely obsessed with this Dungeons and Dragons show so we figured when we got a new puppy we would name it after one of the characters. Naturally, for Vax's cake smash, we had to do a Critical Role theme, so I got a blanket from their shop that had the map of their world on it, I made the foam cutouts of the characters, and I made sure to purchase the Critical Role book that is all about the Vaxildan character.
