Social Distanced Newborn Session Example

Hi everyone,


I just wanted to give a little update on how Newborn photo sessions are going to be modified during this time. Since all the stages of reopening have the rule that you must stay 2m away from your clients I cannot do posed newborn photography with props and such until Stage 3 is finished and Calgary is fully reopened. But with that being said I wanted to figure out a way to take some newborn photos without risking my client's health and safety.


What I have come up with is what I am calling "Lifestyle Studio Newborn Sessions." These sessions are all about your family truly bonding and expressing their love for the newest addition. In my studio, there will be a cute all-white bed setup for your family to cuddle on and pose with your baby. There will also be a colored backdrop of your chose to take photos with as well, I currently have grey, tan, and black available.


Parents will have to wrap their own babies but I will be able to guide you on how to wrap them for your photos. Parents must bring their own headbands or bonnets, but wraps will be provided to use during the session and are put in the laundry machine right after.


For safety reasons, only the people being photographed will be able to come to my studio. Since these sessions are lifestyle newborn sessions, they will not take as long. Roughly your session will take 30-60 minutes.
