Why You Need Maternity Photos (Yes, You!)

Okay, let’s talk about something that often gets put on the back burner during pregnancy: maternity photos.

I get it—your body is changing, you’re probably feeling a mix of excited, exhausted, and emotional (thanks hormones), and the last thing you might be thinking is, “Let’s take professional photos right now!” But hear me out, because as a photographer and a mom, I can tell you: maternity photos are 100% worth it.


Here’s why you won’t regret it—and why I think every mama-to-be should have them:


1. This Season Goes By So Fast

Right now, it might feel like you’ve been pregnant forever (especially if you’re waddling into the third trimester 😅), but trust me—it’s a blink. One day, your baby will be in your arms and your bump will be gone. Photos are one of the only ways to really hold on to this season and remember how amazing your body is for creating life.


2. You Deserve to Feel Beautiful

Even if you're not feeling your best, you still are beautiful—and I’m here to prove it to you. In my cozy Airdrie home studio, I’ve got over 50 maternity gowns for you to choose from (so no stressing over what to wear!), plus a ton of backdrops and props to create whatever vibe you want—elegant, moody, cozy, glam, boho… you name it.

We’ll make you feel like the glowing goddess you truly are, even if you showed up feeling more like a tired potato (been there 😅).

It’s a whole experience. Whether you come solo, bring your partner, include your other kiddos, or even your dogs (yes please!)—this session is all about capturing the love, anticipation, and joy that comes with this new chapter. Plus, it’s a fun way to slow down and soak it all in before baby arrives.

One day, your little one is going to ask about when they were in your belly—and you’ll be able to show them just how loved and awaited they were. These photos become part of your family’s story. And let’s be real, you’ll totally be pulling them out to show off how stunning you looked pregnant.

Hi there, I am a Maternity, Newborn, and Cake Smash Photographer but I am better known as Airdrie's Baby Whisperer. I have a special talent for getting your adorable little babies to sleep so we can get the cutest photos of them in all of my little props. 

I am a mom of the cutest little 1year old ever named Jasper and three crazy puppies. When I am not photographing families, I am going on walks, redecorating my house, or spending way too much time on Pinterest. I love to travel around the world and I am always planning my next trip. I have been to places like Punta Cana, Finland, Paris, and Dublin.

Everyone I know says I was born in the wrong era. I love anything vintage, especially Vintage Cameras! Family is incredibly important to me and I cherish every moment I spend with my parents and sister! I love capturing special moments and making them last forever.  This website is my way of showing what I am capable of and how much photography means to me. I post new photoshoots as soon as I can in hopes of keeping my website new and exciting!
