Pastel Pink and Purple Newborn Session - Calgary Baby Photographer

I am going a bit crazy here with no babies to snuggle and photograph so I figured I should blog a few sessions to get my baby fix. I absolutely love how this session turned out with all the pastel colors. I always recommend to pick just a few colours for your newborn session; this way all the setups and family photos will go together smoothly. This is crucial when you want to print your photos and maybe make a wall gallery in your home.


When it comes to getting some great sibling photos, you really have to let the toddler run that part of the session. If you push them to hard when they don't want to take any photos at that time then you won't get any smiling photos. If you wait a bit and let them watch the baby get photos taken, they normally want to join in, especially if there is a cute moon prop in the photo as well!


I also recommend bringing something personal to your session. For this session, the dad made his daughter a mermaid tail and headband. It was a perfect addition to this session and went amazingly with my shell prop.
