No Birthday Parties Allowed? No Problem!!
Right now the world is crazy and we can't celebrate the way we are used to. One thing I know is hard for a lot of parents is how they can't have fun birthday parties for their children right now and they are stuck for an idea on how to make their kid's day special. Well don't worry, I have the answer for you or at least an option for you to consider! You can book them a photo session that is all about them having fun and celebrating their big day. Another bonus of this option is that WE CAN ADD GLITTER or even bubbles!!!! I mean what kid doesn't love making a mess and throwing glitter in the air, right?!?! These sessions aren't about the perfect pose and having them look at the camera and smile with the family. These Birthday Milestone sessions are about them being themselves and having a absolute blast!
I have been photographing this cutie pie since she was 1 and she has learned quite the adorable poses in the past few years. For her birthday session, we had a 4 balloon, a cute girly setup she would love, and GLITTER. I didn't tell her how to pose, I just let her do what she wanted and she had so much fun she was already planning what she wanted to do next year at my studio!
For birthday sessions, I include the whole setup, you only have to provide the outfit so once I got a photo of this sparkly outfit I knew we had to do an over the top girly session (which is kind of my expertise). She was a little shy at first but once I got her a "princess chair" for her to sit in she started posing herself and having fun.
Then we added a bit of music and she showed me all her amazing dance moves she has learned this year!
When we told her to take some photos with her four balloon, peek a boo became her favourite game! I love how we did a white setup as well so the main focus is just the birthday girl and her shiny balloon!
Once she got a little bored with the taking photos, I asked her mom if she cared if she got covered in glitter. Her mom said it was okay, so down to my basement I went to find my glitter and my new pink backdrop. It only took me a couple minutes to set it up and then IT WAS GLITTER TIME!!!
Let's just say with this pro glitter tosser right here, my studio was COVERED at the end of the session! She had so much fun throwing glitter in the air and making glitter angels on the floor.
