If you’re searching for a luxury newborn photographer in Airdrie or Calgary, you’re in the right place. Welcoming your new baby is one of the most exciting and emotional times of your life—and I’m honored you’re considering Meagan Paige Photography to help preserve these precious first weeks. My goal is to create a relaxed, stress-free, and memorable newborn photography experience for you and your family, while capturing timeless images you’ll treasure forever.
Here’s exactly what you can expect when you book your newborn photo session in my Airdrie home studio.

Booking Your Newborn Photography Session
Newborn sessions are ideally booked for around 14 days after your baby is born. Since babies don’t always arrive on schedule, we’ll choose a date about two weeks after your due date to secure your spot on my calendar, and then adjust as needed once your little one arrives.
When you book, you also get exclusive access to my huge prop and backdrop collection. I have absolutely everything you’ll need for your baby—including a wide variety of wraps, headbands, outfits, bonnets, and props—so you don’t need to bring a thing unless you have something sentimental you’d like included.
Whether you’re looking for classic posed newborn portraits or creative themed setups, my studio is fully equipped to create a gallery that feels personal and beautiful.

Before Your Session
Once your baby is born, I’ll send you my Newborn Session Prep Guide, which includes:
A checklist of things to bring
Outfit tips for parents and siblings
Information on how to prepare your baby for a smooth session
I also send a pre-session questionnaire so I can understand your vision for the photos and help you choose the perfect backdrop for your family portraits. This ensures your session is fully customized and stress-free.

What to Expect on Session Day
When you arrive at my Airdrie photography studio, we’ll start by changing your baby into their first outfit and wrapping them up snugly so they feel cozy and secure. You’ll then feed your baby so they’re nice and sleepy for the start of the session.
We begin with family photos, capturing a variety of combinations such as:
Mom and baby
Dad and baby
Parents together with baby
Siblings with baby
The entire family
During this time, I’ll guide you through flattering poses so you can relax and enjoy the process.
Variety of Setups in Your Newborn Photo Session
After family photos, it’s time for baby to shine! You can relax in my studio or prop room (snacks and water provided!) while I work with your little one. We’ll typically capture:
3–4 prop setups – using baskets, bowls, or themed props from my collection (including adorable animal outfits like fox, bunny, bear, giraffe, panda, and zebra)
One flokati rug setup – soft and textured for cozy, dreamy images
One simple backdrop on my beanbag posing table – perfect for classic, timeless portraits
Macro detail shots – close-ups of your baby’s tiny hands, feet, eyelashes, and other sweet features you’ll want to remember forever
Outfit & Wrap Options for Newborn Photography
For Baby
I have a fully stocked newborn wardrobe with dozens of baby girl and baby boy outfits that tie at the back and have a bit of stretch to fit any newborn. We’ll usually do 1–2 outfits, paired with multiple wraps and different headbands or bonnets to create a variety of looks.
For Parents & Siblings
I recommend 1–2 outfits for parents and siblings, but most families tend to stick with just one coordinated outfit. Outfit planning is already challenging enough, and we can still get plenty of variety without a family outfit change. Solid colors and soft neutrals work beautifully. My Prep Guide includes detailed outfit tips to help you coordinate your family’s look for timeless portraits.

A Stress-Free Newborn Photography Experience
Newborn sessions tend to last 2–3 hours, which gives us plenty of time for feeding breaks, soothing, and snuggles. From start to finish, I take care of everything—styling, posing, and ensuring baby’s safety and comfort. My years of experience as a Calgary and Airdrie newborn photographer mean you can trust your baby is in expert hands.

After Your Session
About one week after your session, you’ll return to my studio for your ordering appointment. You’ll see your fully edited gallery for the first time and choose your favorite images, digital collections, and printed artwork. You only purchase what you truly love—there’s never any pressure to commit to a package before seeing your photos.

Let’s Capture Your Baby’s First Portraits
Your newborn changes so quickly in those first few weeks—let’s make sure you have every detail preserved. If you’re ready to book your Airdrie or Calgary newborn photography session, contact me here to check availability and secure your spot.
I’m a mom to one sweet toddler and three energetic pups. When I’m not in my home studio, I’m out on family walks, redecorating, or pinning inspo on Pinterest. I love all things vintage—especially old cameras—and I pour that nostalgia and care into every session.
Whether you’re looking for dreamy newborn photos, glowing maternity portraits, or fun and messy cake smash sessions, I’d love to bring your vision to life!
